Painter Guidelines
What should I wear?
Here are some tips to make your party go great:
- Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty
- Avoid loose or dangling tops
- Avoid loose, long, or baggy sleeves
- Wear closed-toed shoes; avoid thongs, sandals, or other shoes that expose your toes
- Tie back long hair
Due to the nature of using acrylic paints, paint parties may be messy. We are not responsible for any messes created before, during, or after our paint parties.
Do you provide an apron? Do I need to bring one?
Yes! Our Instructor will provide each painter an apron to wear over their clothes.
You do not have to bring a painter apron (unless you want to!).
What is the minimum age to paint?
We use non-toxic, water-based acrylic paint for our paint parties. These make our paint parties great for most ages!
Youth Paint Parties: Ages 6 to 17
Adult Paint Parties: Ages 18 and up
Sip + Paint Parties: Ages 21 and older
Nighttime parties are classified as parties in which the party end time is at or after 7:00pm CST; limited to ages 18 and up.
Painters under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. The adult must remain on-site during the entire paint party; the adult take a paid seat to paint with the group or, if available, use the 1 free painter spot.
Age is determined by the age of the child or adult as of the date of the party.
Are there health restrictions?
We use non-toxic acrylic paint, paintbrushes, and cups for our paint parties. For health and safety reasons, we discourage the following persons from attending our paint parties:
- Allergic to acrylic paint
- Prone to putting objects in his or her mouth
For their safety, no infants or toddlers. (Paint may look yummy, but we promise it doesn't taste great.)
I have a latex allergy. Can I paint?
In general, acrylic paint is considered safe for those with allergies, including latex allergies. Acrylic paint is made using synthetic, water-based material and contains no natural rubber latex.
Most of our art supplies are also latex-free. We offer disposable nitrile gloves for all of our painters for their convenience.
SIGNS OF AN ALLERGIC REACTION include redness, itching, swelling, and discomfort in the exposed area; in severe cases, individuals may develop blisters or dermatitis. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience any of these symptoms.
Social Media Release
We love to see how each painters makes art their own, and we love sharing your work. In full transparency, we have implemented a Social Media Release policy, so you know exactly how we use your pictures. Click the link below to view and complete the release form.
